PERU, Lima, pillar 4 reales, Ferdinand VI, 1753/2 J, very rare, PCGS VF35, ex-O'Brien, ex-Pat Johnson. Yonaka-unl; Cal-367; KM-54. Richly toned and problem-free for the grade, with protrusion at bottom left of 3 and diagonal within the 3 that seem convincing for a 3/2 overdate per Gilboy L-4-2b, but unconfirmed in Yonaka. Pedigreed to the John O'Brien Collection, with his tag, and to the Pat Johnson Collection (stated on label, Stack's Bowers auction of November 2022, lot 72064).
